Hi everyone-
Well, here is another set of photos from my school computer. We still haven't gotten a new computer, so these sporadic updates will have to do for now. :)
For many reasons, we felt extra blessed to have Julia around this weekend. :) She made us laugh and laugh. On Saturday, Julia helped me mash some bananas for some bread. She is always a good helper. Later, when we were eating the banana bread, we asked her who made it. She said, "Julia! And Mommy helped me!" I am not making this up. What a funny girl! :)
Also on Saturday, Julia and I went to a little festival here in De Pere. It was the first time they have had it, and it was fun. There were pumpkins, a maze of hay, a fire truck, a bean bag toss, pumpkin bowling, face painting, etc. Julia really seemed to have fun. :) She got a temporary tatoo on her hand, which she keeps telling us is a "tatoons." She got a spider painted on her face, and she was pretty excited about that. There was also a tractor at this festival, and she got really excited when she saw it. She would not leave until we sat on it. So, I hoisted her up, and then she said, "Turn it on, Mommy?" Grandpa would be proud. :) There was also a firetruck for Julia to see, which she really liked as well. On the way home, I tried to explain what firetrucks do, but she only held onto "Firetrucks are bad" (instead of firetrucks help us put out bad fires.) We'll have to work on that one. :)
This morning in church, Julia actually made it though the whole service and we didn't even have to think about taking her out! She did give us the giggles, however, when she said, "Mommy, I see Jesus!" and pointed to a mad who had a large beard. :) It was gray in color, so I'm not sure where she is getting her image of Jesus, but at least she's got the connection of Jesus and church! :)
Also today, Julia told us that her Daddy's name was Eyore. Hmm. That would be interesting. "Hello, I'm Dr. Eyore Severtson." I think I'd laugh. What about you?
Anyway, we had a fun weekend with the queen. She is really talking up a storm, and making us feel very glad we're her parents.
Have a nice week everyone! We'll see; maybe a new computer this week? :)
Love,
Mandy
