Julia loves to hold Lauren!

Hi everyone!
I know I'm not very good at keeping this up to date! Sorry! :)
Today is David's 30th Birthday and we are very thankful for him. He is an amazing dad!!
Well, we had a nice Christmas, but I don't have very many pictures to show for it. :( After a 10 hour trip to Granite Falls, we enjoyed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day there. Other than a Julia throwing-up incident on Christmas Eve, we had a great time. Santa Claus ate all of the cookies and even took one for Rudolph! (Now imagine Julia saying that with the utmost excitement!) Lauren began her quest of being held for 7 straight days while we were home. Also, Aunt Annie got to meet Lauren in person for the first time, as well as Great-Grandma Hellen, Great-Aunt Janelle, Great-Uncle Steve, and cousins Erin and Thomas. It was nice to see everyone.
We then took a foggy trip to Clear Lake where there were many other first meetings. Lauren continued her constant cuddling, and the rest of us tried to tame Julia. :) She had a great time playing with her cousins, but they were subjected to her very intense world of imagining, which can sometimes be a little overwhelming. :) The boys did a nice job of playing along with her as she told them what to do. We're working on understanding the word "bossy." We'll get there, right? Right? :{ We had some great conversations and wonderful meals in Clear Lake, and then we headed back to De Pere where we've been ever since.
Laruen is doing well! She is gaining lots of weight--many of her newborn clothes no longer fit! She just last night spent about 2 hours awake WITHOUT crying! About an hour of that was lying on the floor interacting with us. This is truly the first time she's been on the floor that long without crying. She just loves to cuddle and be held, which is great, but a little hard at times. She is really cooing and it seems like she's trying hard to smile, but its not quite here yet. Hopefully in the next week we'll see that!
Julia is doing well, too. She is a great helper. We have been reading Charlotte's Web at night, so that is a new thing for her. She also has been loving playing with her new toys, especially her blocks and stamps and she has also been watching the Little Einsteins DVD's she got for Christmas. She loves them! :)
Well, we hope you are all well too! I'll try to be more diligent about this blog. If only Lauren would let me sleep a little more at night, I'd feel more up to it! Maybe soon!! :)
Love,
Us

We had a great time with you and the girls. I wasn't sure Anthony was going to share Lauren with anyone! I know Isabella loved having a big girl to play with, and I'm just sorry I ruined it by getting sick...We wanted to get a picture of Isabella and Julia. I guess you'll HAVE to come out this summer.
We love you guys so much!
