I can't believe that its already been 2 weeks since I last posted something. Time flies!

We have had a busy couple of weeks! Daddy is done with school for the year, but the last couple of weeks were very busy for him. We missed him but are excited that we'll see him a bit more now.
We have been having fun at home playing outside and helping Lauren sit up. She can completely sit all by herself without help now! What a strong girl! She also started to eat some "food" yesterday. In addition to her cereal, she tried some sweet potatoes! She didn't hate them, so that is good. :)
Julia got to go to a fun place called "Snips and Giggles" on Monday. She got a haircut there! (I made the appointment immediately upon getting to work Monday after large fits both Sunday night and Monday morning because of snarly hair) This place is a salon just for kids, and it was great. She got to sit in a car chair, they gave her a braid, put glitter in her hair, and gave her a sucker for the low price of $14.00! I am sold. It was easy and good and fun!! :) Julia loved it and now we don't have tears at night. So nice.
Yesterday we got a wonderful package from Uncle Rolf and Aunt Fran in Florida. The package had swimming suits for the girls! What a great present for this time of year, and the girls look great. Julia is signed up for swimming lessons this summer, and her suit fits just right. Lauren will put all insecurities behind and wear her bikini regardless of her figure. We should all be so brave. :) he he
This morning in church, the pastor passed around the microphone to the 4 kids at the children's sermon (we went to early church today) and asked them was love was about. Our wonderful daughter (who was the first to answer) said, "When someone says I'm beautiful and then that I'm cute." The church got a good laugh about that, but I was left wondering what we are teaching her! She must feel good when we tell her she's beautiful or something. Anyway, then, when the children's time was over, she called to me from the front "MOM! Can I show Pastor Lori my owie now?" More laughter, more of mom being mortified.
So, we are going to have a calm day filled with showing nobody or owies and learning that love is about more than looking beautiful. :)
We hope you're all well.
