Hi everyone!
Sorry its been so long!  We have been incredibly busy the past couple of weeks.  Things are sort of starting to slow down.  Only one more week of school to go for me!
Lets see...since I last wrote we have done a lot of things!  For Memorial weekend, we took a little trip to the Wisconsin Dells where we met Grandma Jana, Grandpa John, Uncle Andrew, and Aunt Tammy.  We had such a fun time!  This was Lauren's first stay in a hotel, and she did a great job!  Julia loved playing in the pool at our hotel.  We got to spend Sunday afternoon playing mini-golf, which was extra fun.  Julia had a great time and even got a hole-in-one!  As she progressed along the 18 whole course, she decided it was simply much easier to just put your ball 2 inches from the hole right away and then putt.  :)  Whatever kept her happy. :)  It was fun to get away for a weekend.

Julia was pretending to "do" Andrew and Tammy's hair. :)

Nothing like a waterfall at the mini-golf park!
Julia had a great time golfing.
I got a hole-in-one!!!

It was a beautiful day!

Last weekend, we took another road trip to Minneapolis to go to my good friend Kristin's wedding.  Kristin was my best friend for years, and it was so fun to get to see her and some other great friends as well.  As a bonus, we got to see Grandma Mary, Grandpa Rich and Uncle Chris, too!   Julia was a monster on the dance floor at the wedding.  You should have seen her go!! She was having such a good time.  Grandma Mary and Grandpa Rich took the girls from abut 9:30 pm on, marking the first "date" for David and I since Lauren was born.  It was nice!!

Julia, the dancing queen!

We decided on Monday that it would be fun to throw a little house-buying into the end of the school year.  Why not? :)  We have decided to buy a brand-new currently being constructed home here in De Pere.  It is in a neighborhood surrounding a brand new elementary school, which is about 2 blocks from our house.  It is a little overwhelming, but we are so excited to finally have our own home!   Julia is a little apprehensive about leaving her friends and our current neighborhood, but I think she'll be okay after we move.  The new neighborhood is full of kids!!  :)  We'll keep you updated as the home building progresses.  Step 1 is tomorrow-- picking siding, shingles, and the front door! :)

Doesn't Lauren look excited?  :)

Finally, today we were given a bike for Julia.  She has seriously outgrown her trike that she got for her birthday less than a year ago.  :)  A mother of one of my students had a bike that was too small for her growing kids, and just gave us this great bike with training wheels and everything.  It is absolutely perfect.  She wouldn't even let me pay her; we just have to pay-it-forward next time.  People are awesome.

Apparently Julia's bike-riding is amusing. :)
I can't believe she is already this big.  Wow.

Well, that's our last couple of crazy weeks!  Next weekend, we will be making yet another trip to MN for another wedding.  We feel a bit insane, but it will be okay I think. :)  At least this time, I won't have school to come back to!  :)
We hope you're enjoying the great weather.  Have a nice weekend!!

Love,
  Us
