TRIP TO DOOR COUNTY ON SATURDAY
a lesson in skipping rocks.
We had a very fun weekend! On Saturday, we got out the sprinkler as it FINALLY feels like summer here! Julia was very excited! Last year she was a bit hesitant to get wet, but this year she just ran right in! At about 3:00 in the afternoon, we decided to go for an impromptu trip up to Door county for a picnic. We had a great time playing, and it was fun to smell some fresh "ocean" air. :) It was almost like Maine. Almost.
Today we celebrated David, who is such a great dad. After a nice morning of church and grilling brats for lunch, we went to the NEW Zoo, where we had a great time. After supper, we went for a nice long bike ride, during which Lauren and Julia both fell asleep. It was pretty cute. :)
We hope that you all had a great weekend too! Happy Fathers Day to all of you great Dads out there! Especially to John and my dad, Rich. You guys are great and we love you!
