Summer vacation is here! Yes! :)
We finally have some time to stay home and play. Today was our first day of vacation! Even though it was a Saturday and not much different than a regular Saturday, it feels different to know we have some free time ahead!
Since our last post, we've been having fun enjoying the outdoors. The girls love playing, and the weather has been really nice. We weekend after mother's day weekend, we made a trip to the NEW (NorthEast Wisconsin) Zoo. It was 90 degrees! We had a fun time, though. Lauren sort of went with the flow until we let her out of her stroller, and then she really had a fun time walking and pointing at the animals. We had fun, but it was so hot! We were all pooped out when we got in the car.
Over Memorial Day weekend, we made a fun trip to Northfield, MN to help celebrate my Grandma and Grandpa's 60th wedding anniversary. Isn't that great! We had a really great day. It was especially relaxing to be by a pool on a beautiful day. Julia had a great time swimming. Lauren was a little shy most of the day but she sort of opened up in the evening. It was fun to see everyone and to smell some good old MN air for a change. :) That Sunday, we went with Grandma Mary, Grandpa Rich, and Auntie Anne to the Minnesota Zoo. We saw so many neat things! We really had fun. Our favorites were the swimming grizzly bears and the awesome aquarium.
Since then, we've just been trying to make it to the end of school. :) Lauren has been a little sick this week. The doctor thinks she had bronchitis, and she was pretty down and out for a few days, but today seems much better. She has a new-found love for coloring. Today she sat for a half and hour and colored in an Elmo coloring book. I think that is a long time for an 18 moth old! :) Julia got a hula-hoop today at the store. She has been working on her moves at school and now we get to see them here. She is much better than her mom and dad at hula-hooping, that's for sure.
Baby #3 is doing well so far, but is still making his/her mom feel sick at least once or twice during the day. We have an ultrasound scheduled for July 8th in the afternoon, so we'll know then if we have a little boy or a little girl! At my appointment yesterday, the heartbeat was 140 bpm, and it was 150 last time. The girls were always up around 160-170, so this is quite different. Could be I'll have to change the blog title from "Severtson Sisters" to "Severtson Siblings" or something. :)
Anyway, we hope all is well with you. Thank you for checking in on us. :)
