Here are a couple of quick pictures for you all! We have been very busy since I have been back at school. We are surviving, but we are exhausted! :) Anna is growing a lot and makes us smile all the time. She recently discovered her voice and she is making noise all the time!!! It is really funny. Today I picked her up at daycare and they said she was the loudest one there today! (and she is the youngest!) If I did this correctly, I posted a video below so you can hear her in all her glory. (remember to go down to the bottom and pause the music to really hear her!) Lauren is talking up a storm and has taken up a new interest in singing and trying to do whatever she can to be like Julia. This includes climbing up onto Julia's top bunk. Yikes. She also has had a few successes with the "potty chair," so we are hoping that this continues. Julia is her usual creative, energetic self. She is getting pretty good at sounding out words and also has mastered tying her shoes. Kindergarten here we come! :)
I got back to school just in time for all of this budget repair bill controversy stuff. It is not fun. Morale is really down at school as it is hard to feel happy and excited when there is a lot of people saying such bad things about teachers. It is interesting to live through this and I really don't know what is going to happen, but we'll see. I got notice that part of my contract will be laid off for next year as there is so much uncertainty about what is going to happen. I am thankful to have the 56% that is remaining, and there is hope that I may get more back, but for now, there will need to be a "budget repair bill" at the Severtson home if something doesn't change. :) We'll survive, but it will be interesting...
We are thankful to have three healthy and happy kids, a warm home, and time to be together. We hope you are thankful for special things like this too!!
I'll update again as soon as I can.
I gave Lauren a hair cut this week. This is her pose. :)
Whenever I get out the camera, this is the look Anna gives me.
Here I caught a smile! She smiles like this MANY TIMES per day!!
Another little smile.
Lauren and Anna "playing"

Fun times!
Trying to keep up with her sister. :)
