Well, we are surviving the chaos that is school! :) Things seem to be getting a little easier for us all now that we are in somewhat of a rhythm. Sometimes I think this working mom thing is not for me!! Other days I really love teaching and think it is important to be there, too. I know I'm not the first mom to struggle with this. Hopefully we're doing the right thing! :)

We have had a couple of fun things happen in the last week or so. Last weekend, we had company! Grandma Jana, Grandpa John, Uncle Andrew, and Aunt Tammy came to visit. It was the first time John and Jana had seen our house finished, so we had fun showing them around. On Sunday, everyone but me went up to Door County, and they had a great day. (I, by my own choice, stayed here at worked in my classroom all day!) It was really nice to have visitors, and the girls had a great time playing.

In the middle of last weekend, we went to get the mini-van that I spoke of last post. I will admit that it is very fun to drive, and getting the kids in and out is so much easier. I'm a fan. :)

Another fun thing that happened was that our monarch caterpillar, who we had been taking care of for about 3 weeks, decided to come out of its cocoon!! It was so beautiful to watch it fly away. Julia was really excited...we all were I think. It is really a miracle to see that whole process happen!

The last fun thing I'll mention is that we finally got to play on the lawn this weekend. We played baseball! :) Lauren had fun crawling, and Julia played and played. We are thankful to have more space to play! Thanks Dad!!

Back to the race in the morning. We hope all of you are doing well! Have a great week!

piling in the new van for a trip to Door County!

see the little critter that we found?

Lauren blinked from the flash--a funny picture!! :)

"Ok Dad, I'll throw to you now!"

Lauren wanted to be in on the fun. :)
