Severtson Sisters

We have finished the school year!  Wow, that went by fast.  It is hard to believe that Julia will be a 1st grader next year!  We have had some fun adventures the past month or so.  I will try to describe them the best I can with the pictures below. :)  Enjoy!

Anne and Kyle came to visit on their way to Door County for a "Yea!  I graduated!" trip.

As Anna is getting bigger, she is finding a really good friend and playmate in Lauren.  Lauren is patient and seems to know just what to say to Anna.  It is pretty cute.  

Which one of these two do you think is scared of the sprinkler?  Its probably not who you'd think...

Buddies again!

While Daddy was away on a fishing trip in MN, we made pizza!!  The girls LOVE to help with this.

We haven't had rain for a really long time here--now everything is brown! :(

It has been quite warm lately.  We have had fun playing in our little pool in the back yard.
 Here is yet another day of fun in the sun!

Julia is really getting grown up, isn't she?  She is losing her little kid face!   Yikes!

Confidence.  

This is Julia on her last day of school with her WONDERFUL teacher, Ms. Schofield.  I snuck in for the last 15 minutes or so, and the tears were flowing from Ms. Schofield more than once during that time.  (and I guess this mom probably cried, too...)  She is a really great example of a  teacher who gives her heart and soul to her classroom.  Julia was so lucky to have her!  

The day after school got done, we headed to MN.
We went to a reception for Uncle Chris and Aunt Kim, which was very fun!!  Then, we ended up spending some time at my parent's cabin.   I wish I had taken more pictures at first--Julia and Lauren had a great time swimming and fishing!   Kim's Dad, Jim, was especially patient with Julia as she practiced casting.  A dangerous job! :)  We had to keep an eye on Anna--she really loved being in and by the water!!

On a cool morning, we went to Sibley State Park for a small hike and some sight-seeing.

This lead to a lot of bravery.

Which lead to falling in the water and completely drenching pants and undies.  Lauren was not a happy camper.

We ended up riding home pant-less...I couldn't resist the picture.  Sorry Lauren!  :)

Later in the day of the soaking pants problem, Lauren managed to get her finger pinched in the cabin door.
We had to take her into town to get it looked at--it was a pretty bad cut.  Instead of stitching it up, the doctor glued it back together.  She's going to have a scar, but it will be okay.  Here is Lauren showing off her bandaged middle finger...

Bonus!  We got to spend some time with Great-Grandma and -Grandpa.   Grandma cooked us all a GREAT meal! 

Then we explored the sights of Granite with the girls.

And ended with an evening snack at the popcorn stand!  Fun times!!

We have been home now since Thursday evening.  Today we went for a 6 mile bike ride into De Pere to the library and a nearby park.  It was a great morning for riding bikes!  Here are the girls eating a snack at the park.

Hopefully the summer fun will continue.  We are hoping to have a great Father's Day tomorrow.  Now that I have more time, I'll try to post pictures more often.  Sound good Dana Baldry?  :)  Thanks for checking in everyone!  :)
