Severtson Sisters

After we got back from the cabin, it began to sink in that summer was rapidly coming to an close.  We have been trying to enjoy the last few weeks here while at the same time getting our things ready for the school year.  This is always such an emotionally trying time of year!  David and I are kind of stressed, the kids are getting sick of being home, and everyone is just a little on edge!  We have been trying to sneak some fun in, though. :)  Here are some more pictures!

One night, after it had rained ALL day, we looked outside to see a beautiful surprise!

We had some fun playing in the backyard!

Last Sunday, we went to a GREAT place in Green Bay.  We have lived here for 5 years--I can't believe we didn't go sooner!  It is called Bay Beach.  It is an amusement park that has free parking and free admission.   You have to buy tickets to go on the rides, but each ticket is $ .25, and the rides are only one or two tickets!  We spent $10.00 for all of us!!   It was so fun for us all!!

First up--the carousel!

Fighter jets...look out.  Lauren is on the warpath.  Literally.  She was not happy to be on this ride.

So, I got to go on it with them.  (the most fun I've had for 25 cents in a long time)

There was a great little park there, so Anna got to get in on the fun too.  She cried when we tried to leave!

Only Julia was brave enough to try the Ferris wheel with David.

If the rides weren't enough, there were REAL horses!!  Julia was positively glowing!!

We hope we can make the trip to Bay Beach a yearly event!  (or maybe even more often...it was seriously fun!!)  As we were walking to the car, Julia was just smiling from ear to ear, and she said "Thank you!" to both of us.  That was nice to hear!!  :)


So, I am caught up for the time being.  School is starting soon, so we'll see if I can keep this going!  Hopefully you'll see something else on here before Halloween!  :)
